How many times do you hear, you need content to get your message out there.

Sure, of course you need content but more importantly you need tangible material that connects with people and tells a story, not any story but a story people can relate to.

For example, not everyone can relate to me an ethnically Greek Lesbian growing up in a predominantly Pacific Islander and Aussie suburb in South-Western Sydney. But they can relate to hardship, because hardship is universal.

Because we all relate to hardship, we all have a story to tell. It is though this understanding that we can begin to unite instead of isolating ourselves with our differences. 

Lets face it, we all have a desire to be seen, seen as our real selves not the self society has demanded us to be, and one way we process our hardships, can be by discovering and expressing our passions, and there is no better way to share our unique experiences than through stories and the arts. We all have different journeys but we all have the same beating heart.

This is why I always desire to capture a moment in time, where everyone involved gets to share their gifts to the world and reminisce…Now, thats a story!

Only then do we stop trying to fit a cookie cutter version of what society wants us to be, and we step into our unique selves… that’s when we shine brighter than any light.
